As MyMinistry.org makes efforts to recruit an ethnically diverse group of fellows for the Parish Fellowship Program, we pause to view, reflect and discuss the state of racism in America with the rest of Seminary of the Southwest and The Episcopal Church. Join in this Friday, November 15th @1:00pm: http://www.ssw.edu/fifty-years-later-state-racism-america.
I moved up to Fort Worth from Houston just before the beginning of September and started work on the 1st. I quickly got acquainted with all of the staff here at All Saints' and really felt like I fit right in. The house I'm living in is one of the old rectories that is owned by the Church and is literally right across the street from the church building which is nice when I am a lay minister for the daily Eucharist at 7 am.
MyMinistry.org is in Houston, TX this weekend! Britt will be visiting Rice's Autry House for Sunday evening worship. Thanks to Patrick Hall for the opportunity to connect with Houston's finest Episcopal College Mission. Look for packets and t-shirts along with good conversation and fellowship!
MyMinistry.org has hit the ground running this fall with campus ministry and grad fair visits. As of October 5th, 2013 the Parish Fellowship Program has made recruiting efforts at Texas A&M University's Canterbury, Texas Lutheran University's grad fair and Academy of Young Preachers' Texas Festival. Our journey continues as we gear up for Autry House at University of Houston and the Episcopal Student Center of Waco.
If you're starting to discern a call to ministry, want to learn more about your grad school and seminary options or just want a year to serve and map out your near future...check out the Parish Fellowship Program! We'd love to hear from you and learn more about your journey.
